JunZeJun Managing Partner Mr. Tao Xiuming was invited by the China Banking Association to attend the “Seminar on Legal Issues of Bank Asset Management Dispute” held on 27th February, 2017. He was also kindly asked to make a speech on the topic “Resolution to Asset Management Disputes”.

 In recent years, China’s financial market has been evolving rapidly. As the scale and need of asset management is expanding, it has already become one of the services that of the highest demand and potential. At the same time, problems in product design, marketing, identification and prevention of credit risk have emerged; all these market risks have led to the surge of asset management disputes. Mr. Tao had summarized and given an overview of the domestic asset management market to the audience, and shared on the obstacles faced in regulating the asset management business. Together with real-life examples and his own experience in arbitration and legal practice, he further raised suggestions on settling disputes and guided audience with knowledge in the legal risks faced in asset management dispute. He even raised a new direction to the mentality and considerations an arbitrator should contain when resolving asset management cases.

More than 40 people attended this seminar, ranging from representatives of the China Banking Association and its member institutions, to lawyers and arbitrators.
