Xiangchun Zhong’s main practice areas are financial asset management, family wealth management, dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration), commercial transactions, corporate and M&A, project investment and financing, disposal of non-performing assets and other civil and commercial areas. Mr. Zhong received his Bachelor of Laws degree from China University of Political Science and Law and Master of Laws degree and Doctor of Laws degree from Tsinghua University. He has profound professional skills and a deep understanding of the products and businesses of various financial institutions. He is familiar with financial regulation and the real needs of enterprises, familiar with industry knowledge and transaction practices, and often plays a key role in the negotiation and important commercial transactions.

 

Xiangchun Zhong attaches importance to study and research, focusing on legal theory and practice in the field of asset management for a long time. Mr. Zhong participates in financial legislation consultation, research and discussion many times, publishing several academic papers on financial law, authoring a book entitled Study on the Duty of Care of Trustees of Business Trusts in China; participating in the compiling of The Way of Family Wealth Management - Systematic Planning under Target Management and China Trust Industry Development Report. Mr. Zhong has represented many institutions in major litigation, arbitration, and bankruptcy restructuring cases.

Representative Works

  • As an attorney, representing a number of civil and commercial cases in the Supreme Court and several High People's Courts, etc., with disputes covering various areas such as investor rights and interests protection, trustee due diligence management, financial assets liquidation and trademark infringement, etc.
  • As an arbitrator, hearing and ruling on a number of financial, investment and financing dispute cases.
  • As an administrator or head of the liquidation team of bankrupt enterprises, taking charge of bankruptcy liquidation, bankruptcy reorganization or liquidation procedures of enterprises many times, covering financial enterprises such as trust companies, securities companies, financial leasing companies and general industrial and commercial enterprises.
  • Serving as the independent director of commercial banks, with professional and comprehensive knowledge of various businesses of financial institutions.
  • Participating in the new construction and restructuring of dozens of financial institutions of various types, such as commercial banks, trust companies, securities companies, fund companies, and insurance companies, and consulting on governance structures.
  • Acting as the consultant and legal advisor for many financial institutions, participating in the investment with a value of hundreds of billions of yuan of asset management business in financial institutions, designing transaction structures and participating in commercial negotiations.
  • Designing family wealth management solutions for dozens of family businesses in terms of protection and inheritance, utilizing a variety of innovative structures.
  • Taking charge of or participating in legal services for several investment and financing projects, raising hundreds of billions of RMB for corporate entities by means of PPP, project financing, asset securitization, M&A loans, etc.
  • Providing legal services for the disposal of tens of billions of accumulated non-performing assets for several financial institutions, and creatively resolving many financial risks.
Working Experience and Education Background

 Mr. Zhong joined JunZeJun Law Offices in 2000. Prior to joining to JunZeJun, Mr. Zhong worked as the teacher of the North China University of Technology. Also, Mr. Zhong once worked as a risk officer in a trust company.

 

Mr. Zhong graduated from the China University of Political Science & Law with a Bachelor of Laws Degree. After that, Mr. Zhong obtained a Master’s and a Doctor of Laws Degree from Tsinghua University.
