Mr. Chen specializes in the areas of financial disputes, equity investment and M&A, construction contract disputes and commercial disputes.

 

Mr. Chen has represented a number of litigation and arbitration cases in the construction area, each involves complex legal relationships and a subject amount of more than ten million RMB, thus recovering huge losses for clients. He has appeared in the Supreme People's Court, Jiangsu High People's Court, Shanghai Second Intermediate People's Court, Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and other judicial organs and arbitration institutions.

 

In addition, Mr. Chen has participated in corporate investment and M&A cases of different types .

 

Mr. Chen has also been the permanant legal advisor for many institutions and enterprises. He fully understands the differences in handling legal affairs for different types of organizations, and is able to mitigate legal risks, resolve legal disputes, and provide opitimal suggestions afterwards, and has the ability to ensure the smooth operation of organizations.

 

Trained in science and engineering, Mr Chen combines his academic training and his degree and experience in law into a professional expertise in the intellectual property area.

• Mr. Chen has participated in many professional activities, e.g. attending as an expert in the evaluation meeting of the Highway Business Development Center of Jiangsu Transportation Administration regarding a newly built national highway toll station.

 

Representative Works

• Financial and Commercial Disputes: The Letter of Credit dispute between Nanjing Depei Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd. and Bank of Asia and its Banani Branch, etc.
• Investment and M&A: Represented a foreign investor to conduct the legal due diligence and to issue an opinion on the shareholders' capital contribution and the ownership status of the intangible assets of Detroit Electric Limited, a domestic R&D and manufacturing company of new energy vehicle.
• Bond issuance: 2020 non-public issuance of project revenue corporate bond of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Railway Construction Investment Co., Ltd.  (scale: 10 billion yuan).
• Intellectual property rights: Acted for Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. to file a lawsuit against unfair competition by malicious infringement on goodwill, and eventually won the lawsuit and protected the safety of state-owned assets.
