On 15th December, Shanghai Okura Garden Hotel was full of joy and bustle. The 9th “Cross-border Business Cooperation and New Year Gala” hosted by JunZeJun (Shanghai) Law Offices and Shanghai Sichuan Chamber of Commerce Ya’an Branch was grandly held here. With the theme of “Embrace the World, Create a Shared Future”, more than 300 representatives from more than ten countries，including foreign consulates, domestic government agencies, domestic and foreign chambers of commerce, and enterprises, carried out extensive exchanges and communications on Sino-foreign economic cooperation in the current situation, and investment cooperation in the domestic economy.

Meanwhile, presidents, vice presidents and director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, Korean Chamber of Commerce, Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Chamber of Commerce, UK-China Business Association, Shanghai International Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai Hunan Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai Guangxi Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai Shandong Chamber of Commerce and other organizations attended the event. Representatives of Fortune 500 companies, Industry 500 companies, and other large and medium-sized domestic and international enterprises also participated in the event.

 

Participants made full use of the opportunity of this exchange activity to have a lively discussion and share information on offshore investment, cross-border cooperation, and investment policies in different regions.

 

 

Firstly, Mr. Chen Hengcai, Co-President of the Shanghai Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, was entrusted by the Sichuan Chamber of Commerce to deliver a speech. Mr. Chen expressed his heartfelt thanks to the participants from all walks of life who have long been concerned about and supported the development of the Sichuan Chamber of Commerce and Ya’an Branch! He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Wang Zhengyang for playing his advantage in serving the members of the Chamber and providing a platform for the exchanges and cooperation between the members and the consulates, representatives of government agencies, sister chambers of commerce, and financial institutions. He affirmed the significant contribution made by Mr. Wang to the further development of the Sichuan Chamber of Commerce.

Ya’an has gradually formed a scale effect in modern agriculture, hydropower resources, digital economy, manufacturing industry, lithium industry, and the Sichuan-Tibet Economic Collaboration Pilot Zone, which has become a new highlight of Ya’an’s development. The 318 National Highway, the “Most Beautiful Landscape Avenue”, the “First City of Sichuan-Tibet Railway”, and “the Demonstration City of Green Development” have become another tourism business card of Ya’an.

 

 

Mr. Yuichiro Mori, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Japan in Shanghai, pointed out at the event that China and Japan are neighbors that promote mutual benefits. He fully appreciated the friendly cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and Japanese people in recent years and expressed his expectations for the future development of the two countries. Mr. Yuichiro Mori thanked JunZeJun for providing legal services and assistance to Japanese investments in China.

 

 

Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is a national trade-investment promotion organization under the South Korean government that has set up 21 trade pavilions (representative offices) in China. During the event, Mr. Hong Chang-pyo, the General Representative of KOTRA in China, remained confident in the economic cooperation between China and Korea. Mr. Hong expressed his appreciation for JunZeJun’s vital role in the investment process of Korean enterprises in China.

 

 

Mr. Zheng Haiguang, General Counsel of SINOPEC Shanghai Offshore Petroleum Bureau, introduced the new strategy of SINOPEC Shanghai Offshore Petroleum Bureau to expand the development of offshore engineering overseas by “building up offshore brand and accumulating development momentum” in this event. Mr. Emilio Cassanelli, Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, introduced the general background of the Chamber in his speech, shared his experience and plan to invest and trade in China and Italy, and hoped to find more opportunities for development in China.

 

 

The first listed company in Guangxi and the engineering industry, LiuGong Corporation, has now spread its business worldwide, genuinely achieving global LiuGong, which originated from China. Mr. Li Yuning, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of LiuGong, further introduced LiuGong’s globalization process at this event. JunZeJun and LiuGong have been cooperating for ten years, and both parties have achieved all-around cooperation, including but not limited to overseas investment, asset restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, etc. He hoped to use this event to strengthen the communication with all parties for win-win cooperation.

 

 

On behalf of the Sichuan Provincial Government Shanghai Office, Mr. Shi Xiping, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Office, congratulated the event’s success and introduced the Shanghai Office and the opportunities for investment and cooperation. Sichuan Province is in southwest China, upstream of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. Sichuan, known as the “Land of Abundance,” belongs to the Yangtze River Economic Belt and is an important node and hub of the Belt and Road initiative. Sichuan’s economy ranks sixth in China and first in the western region. At the same time, Sichuan has a long history, rich resources, strong scientific and educational strength, and a complete industrial system. In recent years, driven by the Chengdu-Chongqing integration, economic and social development continued to improve, and he sincerely invited all guests and friends to visit Sichuan and seek business opportunities for development.
